Information Still to be Gathered
- Include information for adult learning center and recycling area.
- Refine specific considerations for each area, including type of floor covering, number of electrical outlets, other wiring needs, etc. Prioritize requests.
- Better estimate space needs, especially by visiting other facilities.
- Try to gather/compare usage statistics, space available, and tax cost data (In other words, do we have more or less space now than a "standard" library for a town our size? How do our services provided compare? Are we spending (library taxing district rate) more or less than "normal"? What else can we use to show need or benefit?
- Gather data/arguments on the benefits of a good library.
- Detail what areas can be adjacent to each other, and what can't.
- What legal considerations are unique to a library?
- What else do architects, contractors, and funders need?
